Digital learning is used to support the traditional ways of learning in the classroom. It supports classroom practices such as teacher-led discussions, teacher-led instruction, group work, excursions, guest speakers, bookwork, handwriting, grammar, maths projects, learning number facts and reading groups. Digital learning provides the students with opportunities to use electronic media to access, present and share learning.
Digital learning includes using devices such as tablets, iPods, iPads and computers to create content such as photos, movies, apps and word processed documents. It also includes using devices to access the Internet to conduct research tor connect via Skype to other people and groups.
Digital Learning enables students to work at home or outside the classroom. It creates and reinforces the expectation that learning is everywhere all the time, instead of something that is only undertaken at school.
